About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Software Testing Intern to join our QA team. You will be responsible for assisting in the testing of web and mobile applications to ensure they meet high standards of quality and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand project requirements and create test cases/scenarios
- Perform manual testing of applications across different platforms
- Identify, document, and report bugs and issues in a clear manner
- Assist in regression, functional, UI, smoke, and sanity testing
- Collaborate with developers to resolve bugs and verify fixes
- Support in preparing test documentation and reports
- Learn and apply testing tools like Postman, Selenium, JIRA, or TestLink
- Participate in daily stand-ups and QA discussions
Requirements
- Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
- Basic understanding of software testing concepts and SDLC/STLC
- Knowledge of writing test cases and bug reports
- Familiarity with tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, or Excel for tracking bugs
- Good logical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and ability to follow processes
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
Nice to Have (Optional)
- Exposure to automation tools (Selenium, Cypress, etc.)
- Understanding of API testing with Postman or Swagger
- Knowledge of SQL for database testing
